Sunken City, located in San Pedro, California, has some of the most unique and incredible views I’ve ever seen. The city received its nickname after suffering from a massive landslide that left homes and neighborhoods hanging off the cliff and into the ocean. As a result of this tragedy, the site almost feels like an archaeology exhibit, left with ruins and remains from the good old neighborhood.
I thought it was pretty crazy when I entered the site and saw huge tree trunks laying on their side and palm trees growing out of the hill but those highlights were quickly out shined. The best part about this place is all the broken sidewalks and concrete laying everywhere that are now covered in all types of artwork. Graffiti artists from everywhere have put a special touch on this already unique place. Words don’t really do it justice, check the flicks below.
To enter, you just gotta hop over this wall and crawl under the fence. Of course, enter at your own risk. If you can’t get over the wall… take it as a sign, be safe and just chill.
just around the corner is also a sight to see
