Believe the Hype: Jason Markk Shoe Cleaner

May 15th, 2013 by Trevor

My least favorite part of being a “Sneakerhead” has always been cleaning shoes. I’ve always been too lazy to clean my shoes after each wear and wait months until I finally give them the cleaning they deserve. For about 10 years I’ve been loyal to Tide and toothbrush combo to clean all my shoes. But last  year I started hearing a lot about the Jason Markk cleaner that would supposedly clean any type of material on a shoe. I was initially reluctant to give in and try the product after seeing them really blow up over the past year, I had to see what the hype was for myself. Originally when I ordered their 4oz Premium Kit, it was on back order which was already a good sign!

When I first got my cleaning kit I had to go straight for my closet to find shoes to try it on. After deciding which pairs to clean and a few minutes of scrubbing I noticed my shoes were as clean as they have ever been. All I had to do was follow a few simple steps and shoes that I had stopped wearing because they were too dirty – instantly became wearable again.  Not only did the Jason Markk cleaner thoroughly tidy them – it did so within seconds.  Overall Jason Markk Shoe Cleaner is a must have. Summer is right around the corner which means tank tops, shorts and shoes.  Really set off your Dime A Dozen fit with a fresh pair of shoes using the Jason Markk cleaner. Check out some of the before and after pictures of some of the results.

Support the Locals: Dusty Crates Records

May 13th, 2013 by Ian

We like to show support for those who support us and with that being said, I would like to introduce Dusty Crates Records - a hip hop group hailing from Southern California. We linked up with them a couple weeks ago and got a chance to check out their recording studio. Walking through the hallways hearing sounds from other bands and artists leak out made it feel like something out of a movie. The actual recording room depicted the raw elements of hip hop; from the old school vinyl records, to the signed Pete Rock poster, everything in the room gives character and contribution to their sound. Its a known fact that hip hop hasn’t been the same lately, so its refreshing to hear music that pays homage to the Golden Age era. If you like underground music, tired of the radio, or just want to hear some good music, check out their soundcloud.

San Francisco 49ers Levi’s Stadium

May 8th, 2013 by S. Dozen

Last weekend, I got a chance to take a trip up to San Francisco and the first thing my boy took me to do bright and early on a Saturday morning was back him up to take on a few sales meetings in Santa Clara. It wasn’t all bad though since he’s a sales rep for the 49ers and their new stadium, I got a nice behind the scenes tour. The $1.2 Billion Santa Clara Stadium will aim to be the most highly technologically advanced and innovative stadium in the world. It’s been nearly 50 years since an NFL stadium has built in the state of California. With wi-fi access across the arena and a potential game day app to order food from the nearest concessions, watch replays and more – the 1.8 million square feet arena is set equipped to host some of the most marquee events.

Just announced, the official sponsor of the stadium will be Levi’s Jeans.
Niner Nation, welcome to Levi’s Stadium.
