A few days after announcing they’re closing their doors, Original Fake released their final (yes, final) lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2013 Collection. Over the years, we have come to expect their signature KAWS style incorporated in all of their products, and it will be sad to see such an iconic look from streetwear gone. However, their last collection does not disappoint and will definitely have people asking for an encore.
Adding to their long list of collaborations, their 2013 Spring/Summer Collection features Peanuts Joe for a couple of Snoopy and Woodstock inspired designs, along with several shirt logos exemplifying their exit from the street wear game. Each cut and sew piece in the collection showcases their signature KAWS look somewhere on the clothing. I think something as little as the “XX” embroidered on the end of their button up shirts really brand each item. My favorite piece from their collection is the Back Big X Stripe Shirt because of how intricately and lowkey the “XX” is incorporated into the design of the shirt.
